From home organizing videos to grocery hauls and tidying up tips, a Sunday Reset is a mindful approach to spending a few hours each Sunday doing tasks and activities that help you get your life and home ready for a new week.<\/p>\n

Not only does this type of weekly routine set up good habits and behaviors, but it also has a happiness-boosting effect, as it stimulates our brain’s natural spike in dopamine (from accomplishing tasks on our to-do lists). So, it’s truly a positive and effective way to harness the free time that many of us have on Sundays (or your “day off”, if you happen to work on weekends).<\/p>\n

That said, to inspire you to jumpstart this weekly routine (which will help you unwind at the end of the weekend and feel refreshed before Monday starts), here are some tips on creating your own Sunday Reset Routine.<\/p>\n

How To Create a Sunday Reset Routine<\/h3>\n

If you’ve been following Inspirations & Celebrations for a while, you know that I’m a big fan of tidying up and staying organized. From sharing Marie Kondo’s joy-boosting tips for getting organized<\/strong><\/a> to tapping into Feng Shui<\/strong><\/a> practices for creating a home and workspace that inspires us, there are so many benefits (psychological, emotional, and physical) to having and maintaining an organized space.<\/p>\n

Similar to how you do daily routines such as brushing your hair and teeth, washing your face, and wiping down countertops, setting aside dedicated time each week to do a routine that gets your home and life in order helps you feel more in control and balanced. Not to mention – it becomes especially helpful the busier your schedule gets, as it enables you to stay on top of essential activities without getting behind.<\/p>\n

\"Sunday<\/p>\n

To start with, each week set aside time to do household tasks such as: washing your bedding and clothing, shopping for groceries, emptying the trash and recycling bins, watering your plants, meal-prepping your food for the week, and cleaning your home.<\/p>\n

These basic activities will make your home look and feel refreshed and tidied and help you save time and energy once Monday comes. Accomplishing these tasks will not only help you feel on top of your life and home, but it will also make it easier to be more efficient with your time and energy.<\/p>\n

In addition to these household chores, if you have the energy and inclination, you can tackle other “Sunday Reset” types of tasks too. These types of activities could include washing your makeup brushes, re-organizing your bathroom vanity and kitchen cabinets, putting unwanted items aside for donation, and shredding or filing old papers (especially if you work from home). While these particular activities might only need to happen once every few weeks, it’s worth adding to your “Sunday Reset” routine, as it’s a great time to get these projects done.<\/p>\n

Last, but certainly not least, aside from tasking, a great way to use a “Sunday Reset” to mentally prepare for the new week is to write a to-do list and plan your agenda for the upcoming week. By implementing these weekly activities in a routine, you’ll notice decreased stress, a feeling of calm and orderliness, and a sense of being more organized and empowered to handle your life.<\/p>\n
